Producer Note:

Chevy produces the kind of foals that reflect exactly what she is — good-minded, trainable, and easy to get along with. The kind that make sense to keep around.

Built like a rock. Quiet, steady, and always there when you need her.

About Chevy-Lena

Some mares stand out.

And some just quietly do everything right.

Chevy is that kind.

Built Like a Rock

Chevy — or “Chevy-Lena” — was barn-named for her distinctive livestock brand, which happens to be a Chevy emblem.

The name stuck.

And it fits her.

Dependable.
Steady.
And built to go to work.

The Kind You Don’t Have to Think About

Chevy has a gentle, willing disposition and a quiet nature that makes her easy to be around.

She’s not complicated.
She’s not dramatic.

She just shows up and does her job.

She’s balanced, athletic, and put together in a way that holds up over time — with enough responsiveness and feel to be useful, but the kind of mind that stays steady in new situations.

The kind you don’t have to manage.

And that’s worth a lot.

Pedigree Highlights

Chevy carries strong cow horse genetics through her sire, Lenas Smart Command, tracing back to the Smart Little Lena line known for trainability, responsiveness, and cow sense.

On the bottom side, she brings durability and practical ranch ability — a combination that consistently produces horses that are usable, trainable, and built to last.

But like everything else here…

She doesn’t just have it on paper.

She matches it.

Proven Where It Counts

Chevy has been used on a ranch and has proven herself through real work — not just pedigree.

She handles pressure well.
She stays willing.
And she keeps the same steady attitude no matter the situation.

She’s the kind of mare that makes things easier instead of harder.

A Mare That Produces What She Is

Chevy has proven herself as a broodmare in the same quiet, consistent way.

Her foals reflect her:

• Good-minded
• Willing
• Trainable
• And easy to be around

The kind that make sense.

What She Produces

Chevy consistently passes on:

• Kind, willing dispositions
• Trainable minds
• Athletic ability
• Cow sense
• Responsiveness and feel
• Practical size and usability

They carry her attitude — and that’s something we value more every year.

Our Broodmare Philosophy

Our broodmares are expected to be broke to ride with real, proven time under saddle. That experience may come from our ranch program, previous owners, or performance training — but they must demonstrate rideability, willingness, and real-world usability.

We’ve put miles on our mares in real country — gathering, working cattle, long days, changing ground — so we know exactly what they’re like when it matters.

They have to meet the same standard as everything else here:
usable, good-minded, and built to last.

Chevy fits that standard in a quiet, consistent way — and those are the kind that hold a program together.

Looking Ahead

Chevy isn’t the kind that demands attention.

She just does her job, raises good ones, and keeps showing up the same way every day.

And when you build a program…

Those are the kind you rely on.
