About LeRoy

LeRoy has always been a little different — in the best way.

When we first brought him home, we said he was the “sleeper” colt of the pen… the one that just needed some time to grow and blossom. Yep, I think we hit the nail on the head with that prediction… now, if we could only predict those winning lottery numbers! Lol.

He is very typical of the One Time Pepto line in both mind and ability. He is soft, supple, and sensitive — and those words still ring true today. He has tender feelings, is aware of his surroundings, and doesn’t take much correction. He carries that “I-want-to-please” attitude that makes him enjoyable to work with once he understands what you’re asking.

He may be a little quirky at times, but he is honest and willing, and that sensitivity translates directly into responsiveness under saddle.

Build & Movement

We appreciate his bone and structure, and we just can’t get over what a good mover he is. He is catty, athletic, and naturally balanced with the kind of body control that makes him quick on his feet.

He’s not a huge horse, but he is very functional — the kind that can get around and do a job efficiently.

Our Stallion Philosophy

Our stallions live and work together year-round as part of our ranch horse string and are only separated during breeding season. They are used regularly for ranch work alongside the rest of our horses, which we believe helps maintain sound minds, good dispositions, and long-term usability.

We’ve always believed stallions should stay horses first — useful, rideable, and mentally sound — and that approach has worked well for us.

Why We Kept LeRoy

We kept LeRoy because he offers something a little different — sensitivity, athleticism, and responsiveness paired with good bone and structure. He brings valuable genetics into our program while still fitting the type of horse we believe in.

Breeding Information

LeRoy is available to approved mares only. Our goal is to produce horses that meet the same standards we expect in our own program. If we wouldn’t breed a mare if she were in our string, we won’t accept her for outside breeding.

We are always happy to visit with mare owners about crosses and whether LeRoy may be a good fit.
